Recipe: Super Simple Stir-Fry

½ cup water

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup soy sauce

1/8 cup sesame seeds

1 Tbsp chives

1 tsp sea salt

12 ounces lean meat, cut into cubes (such as pork, chicken, or steak)

1 green bell pepper

1 red bell pepper

1 yellow bell pepper

1 Vidalia onion

2 carrots

5 ounces asparagus

1.      In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the water, oil, soy sauce, sesame seeds, chives, red chili flakes, and sea salt; mix ingredients well.  Pour the sauce into an airtight container or a sealable plastic bag and marinade the pork cubes in refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.

2.      Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat and add the marinated meat, reserving the liquid for later. Cook for 8-10 minutes on each side, flipping halfway through, until about three quarters cooked.

3.      While the meat is cooking, chop the bell peppers, Vidalia onion, carrots and asparagus.

4.      Add vegetable and marinade to the meat in the skillet and continue to cook, stirring constantly until the meat is cooked through and the vegetables are tender but still a little firm.
