Recipe: Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

This is one of our favorite combinations. Using frozen berries means that you can almost always have the fruit that you need to make this. It may not sound like much, but once you see it all in the blender you'll realize you have enough for two.

You will need:

  • A Blender
  • 1 cup of Frozen berries - Either Strawberries or a mixture of Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries and Blueberries. Get the kind in a bag, not packed in a can with tons of added sugar.
  • A Banana
  • 8-12 ounces of Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup of Plain Yogurt (optional)
  • A handful of ice - you will only need this if you are using fresh fruit instead of frozen.

To Make: Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. You may need to pulse or stop and mix the ingredients a couple times to make sure that all the ingredients get well blended.
