Sleep Science

Everyone who has ever stayed up late knows that their body, and mind, feel better after getting enough rest.  I remembered this today and decided this morning that if I had a superpower, it would be having 26 hours in my day, so I could always get eight hours of sleep.  I probably won't get my superpower, but I do have to do something about my sleep.  It is a topic that is becoming more prevalent in the news, particularly how important rest is for our long-term health, which only reinforces what my body is telling me.  There have been several articles about sleep in the news recently, likely due to the CDC report that more than 1/3 of Americans don't get enough sleep.  If only there were 26 hours in a day, we could all sleep more.  Then again, maybe if we made our waking hours more productive it would feel like there were more hours in a day.
